Evaluation For My Advertisement

Evaluation For My Advertisement
My finished product compared to my design in a similar way.
I have designed my perfume in a sort of similar way to the way most perfume advertisements looks. I wanted it to look unusual, unique and sort of different to other perfume ads. I have placed the perfume bottle on the left hand side, sort of floating in the middle, with the title ‘Summer Breeze’ inside it. I have also added the title at the top of the image, above the water, and the cover line I have placed it at the bottom of the image. I made the title flow to one side as I think it goes well with the image and the title itself.
Due to the technology, I have managed to develop my perfume advertisement up onto the computer. I gathered a few different images from Google and I saved them into my documents. From my point of view, I felt that I was better at uploading the images I had saved, onto Photoshop Elements, better than how I uploaded the images I had saved for my magazine, as this is my second time uploading images onto Photoshop, so I had gotten used to knowing what to do. I also found it slightly easier to re-size, re-arrange, and organize the images.
I think my finished product has turned out rather well and I think it is very suitable for my teenage target audience. By looking at the perfume ad, you can tell that it will catch a young teenage girl’s eye as it has caught mine. I feel that the image has unique and summery colours, which most teenage girls would like. I asked a bunch of people what they think of my perfume advertisement ad from my feedback; I have a lot of positive responses, which I’m extremely happy about.
In my opinion, I feel like I have overcome many challenges well. I did struggle a little bit with adding things on Photoshop, as I did still find it hard to develop different images on the page. I did, eventually, manage to overlap this difficulty with help from my teachers and classmates.
I have gained a number of skills during this task, mainly by using Photoshop Elements, as I still struggled to find it easy to use. Once I managed to figure out how to use it, I was able to increase more difficult skills. I feel a lot more confident in using Photoshop now as I have used it more than once and kind of know how to do things on my own, without help from my teachers or classmates. I would want to use Photoshop more often in Media to be able to create new products.

Audience Feedback on Perfume Ad

Audience Feedback on Perfume Ad

From the questions I have asked on my questionnaire, I have gathered some information about what some students and teachers have said about my perfume, and most people have said that they like the way I have designed my advertisement and they think it looks unique.

Some people have made positive comments about the way I have designed my perfume ad. They like the way have made the title ‘Summer Breeze’ slanted and in a sort of italic way as it represents the wind blowing it. My use of the way I have made the title look they way it is reflects very well with the advertisement appropriately.

The comments that they have given about the image I have produced are positive, which I’m very happy about. From the way the model is running towards the water with her hair blowing in the wind, people have said that it goes well with the title and that it is very suitable for my target market. Students between the ages of 14-16 that I have asked said that they would be interested in buying the perfume as they feel that it will smell very nice.

Interestingly, people are interested in the slogan I have used. It is quite eye-catchy to the audience that would want to buy the perfume.

There was only one negative comment about my design of the perfume advertisement. They said that they would prefer for the model to be looking at the camera so they know what type of facial expression is holding. In a way, I would agree with this comment, as I would like to know what type of facial expression she is holding based on the perfume.

Overall, I am very grateful for all the people who answered my questions in a positive tone.

CAP Codes

CAP Codes

By looking at all the CAP Codes, I think that my perfume advertisement that I have designed suits them well. The language that I have used is acceptable and does not in any shape or form come across as an offense when reading it. The main image that I have used on my advertisement is suitable for my target audience, which is the age group between 14-18 years old, which is set for my perfume. I feel that the model I have used for my perfume advertisement is appropriately dressed and there is not any nudity that wouldn’t suit my target audience.
On the whole, I think that my perfume advertisement is not in any way false as I have described and advertised only my perfume and I haven’t gone any further in detail.  It is simple and the message I have used is very clear that it is only for the perfume that I will be trying to advertise throughout the advertisement.

Permission you need to use photographs in a print product

Permissions you need to use photographs in a print product.

If an image already exists, you must find the copyright holder and gain (perhaps pay for) their permission to use the image for any commercial purpose.
If the model is under the age of 16, then they will need to require a parent or legal guardians signature.
If children are used for models particularly if they are paid, care should be taken and registration must be sought from your local authority.

Perfume names

I have chosen the 'Summer Breeze' font because, as it is gently sloping to the side, it looks as though the breeze is gently brushing across it.

How to write an advertising proposal

I'm no expert in advertising but my mentor in college is. Anyway, I'll just provide an overview of how an advertising proposal goes and I don't really want to go technical and stuff.

Now the thing is the client usually has no idea how advertising works. They go to the advertising agency for help but sometimes they don't acknowledge what the ad agency thinks is best for their product or service. They have expectations already and they don't realize that the ad agency has a better idea of how it should be done. It's alright though. The advertising agency doesn't just try to convince a target market to patronize a certain good or service, they also try to convince the client as well to give there advertising proposal the thumbs up. They have to come up with a presentation of how they visualise the campaign should be so that the client would think the same way and fund the campaign

Here is basically how the advertising proposal goes. This totally needs to be elaborated.

1. A study of the product: "What is it?"
A background study of the product is the foundation of a proposal. How are you supposed to advertise something you don't even know?

2. A study of the industry: "Where are we?"
It's not just about the product after all. It's also about how the product is together with all the other products out there. What is the current situation? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Where do you think are the good opportunities for the products? Who are considered as competition/threat?

3. "Why are we there?"
What were the previous steps taken that is why the product is like that? Where the steps any good?

4. "Where are we going?"
Define the objectives of the campaign; your vision. Who is your target market? How are you able to get a key response (it's basically the reaction you want the product to receive) from them? How do you reach out?

5. "Are we getting there?"
Is it even plausible? Of course it is. Why would you even make a campaign if you think it cannot be done? Present your visual aids. Do you think a TV commercial fits in the campaign? Come up with a storyboard. A print ad? Why don't you show them a rough draught? Let the client know that with this campaign, the vision will be materialized. I mean, you already have the sketches and stuff, some magic done by the media department and your work will be awesome.

At panel, provide hard copies of your presentation. Be sure of what you are talking about. If you don't even understand what the hell you are discussing, how would the client (who can be dumbasses, really) get it?
